Haiku Attempt: Three tales

Here are my attempts at first assignment of Poetry 201: Water, Haiku and Simile

1. Staring past my own self,
I ask the bed of the sea
‘How you stay so calm?’

2. Moonlight brightens the place
And, like a bride-to-be, tonight
the lone oasis shines.

3. Folks despair at the clear sky,
Praying to whoever listens,
Ask for rain today.
